Inspiration

    Can't wait to play live on April 19th with my buds.....love the feeling of playing music that we write. It's cool that we actually inspire each other when we come up with a part for a song, it's a chemistry that works really well for us, and it's much better than being in some cover band.

Plan B

A big \m/ to all fans and readers alike:

Starting off this weeks blog by saying it’s official! DR will be heading back to the recording studio and are in the process of releasing a full 10 song album.  It will be our first release as Desolate Rage and first release since 2007.  We plan on getting the ball rolling by mid April shortly after our Gig @ Velvet Underground this coming April 19^th. This new album will represent songs written over the past 2 years. Some have been preformed live, while others have never been heard by anyone. Thrashy as shit, tempo changes out the ass and lots of head banging friendly riffs, best describes what this new album will sound like. We look forward to the challenge that awaits us. We hope that you all get a chance to hear the finished product once it’s all done.

This past year has been a difficult one for us on a personal level. Sometimes life gets in the way and often shit just happens. But we all grew a pair and kept pushing along. As a result we will have something to be proud of. Remember kids “ when the going gets tough, the tough keep Thrashing” ok that was not really a quote. I just made that up. But who gives a shit, right? LOL enough of my blabbing it’s time to get back to the Leafs game!

Sticky Bun Come Soon!

    Its been an interesting week, I'm trying to shake off a knee injury and its been a struggle with the double kicks. I had to change my technique a bit though, I'm using my ankles a bit more and less my knees so that I can minimize the strain (Practice last night was pretty good though, so I'll build on that).

   

  The boys have been keeping my spirits up with a good kick in the ass though! I've got to stay on track and try to keep my chops up for the upcoming show at Velvet Underground in T.O. next month.   

  

    Hoping to work on some new material with the band soon, thinking of new ways to tear the fucken walls down!

Hell Week

Another week and busy as all hell, but good just the same!!!
So to update some of you.....Marco blew out his knee this week and is on the mend but playing drums with only one kick for our style of music just blows goats!!
Jorge had chemo this week and 3 more rounds to go but so far so good!!
We have new bumper stickers and they look sick!! (we should have them for sale at our debut show)
Did we mention that we have a show coming up? 

April 19th at the Velvet Undergound will be the official "debut" for Desolate Rage and we will unleash the fury with some new material and a new attitude!

We also decided that it's time to maybe, just possibly, almost certainly head into the recording studio and work on releasing some new material for you all in the near future! More to come on that in future posts!!
